Bryan Peterson Workshop Seattle June 2011
No Photo Workshop in Seattle would be complete without doing a cityscape - or in this case a nightscape from Dr. Jose Rizal Park. This photo was processed with Color Efex to give it a big more flare and differentiate it from the billions of other shots from this location
Fun with Flare - we were doing an exercise where we were firing the flash to backlight the hair. After I got that shot I decided to try a few more so I could get some lens flare (by letting light intentionally spill directly into the lens). I was really happy with how this one turned out. I've only done some minor processing on it but I have some ideas about how I can make this one really cool so I look forward to editing it completely.
Poor Amanda couldn't even have a coffee in peace! Bryan got a full blown flash shooting session going in the coffee shop with Joe holding the flash outdoors and pointing it to Amanda while we all took turns getting this shot. I wanted the students to get a chance so I only snapped two quick shots - I wasn't happy with the result, but you can see how some of the others were really cool!
Amanda agreed to be my model while I tested the Sigma 85mm f/1.4 for B&H. This colorful location in Pioneer square was a great place to see what that lens could do - and it didn't dissapoint
The Graffiti Wall was a blast. Here Bryan runs wild while we shoot so we can Understand Shutter Speed
